Balak, Sanlaville et Vives s'approchent un peu plus de la perfection dans ce tome 8, que j'ai déjà relu trois fois.

Coté histoire (SPOILERS) :

Dans ce tome 8, on continue toujours dans le deuxième arc Last Man, 10 après les 6 premiers tomes.
Nos personnages se retrouvent enfin, ils ont tous bien changés et la magie et l'innocence des débuts à bel et bien disparus...
Tandis que la Vallée des Rois est en proie à des manigances bien sombres et que le Roi n'est plus que l'ombre de lui même, à Paxtown la mafia a laissé place aux Aigles Rouges et leurs motivations pour le moins...floues!

Je n'en dirais pas plus mais quel plaisir de voir Adrian, Elorna et Gregorio grandir et sortir de leur innocence d'enfants de la Vallée! Certains se métamorphosent ou deviennent fous aux contacts des ordures qui peuples les ruelles de Paxtown, certains s'endurcissent mais aucun ne restent indifférents..

Que veulent Cudna et Chester Morgan? Que fais Cristo? Qu'a fait Adrian pendant 10 ans? Tant de questions (entre autres) qui nous brulent tous les lèvres et qui verront surement leur réponse donnée dans les prochains tomes, celui ci compris..

Coté Graphisme / qualité de l'objet :

Le découpage est toujours aussi dynamique, la patte Last Man toujours bien reconnaissable. Les auteurs ont réussi à faire vieillir les personnages, les faire évoluer physiquement tout en gardant leurs traits visibles et reconnaissables. Une prouesse graphique qui saute aux yeux quand on voit Gregorio adulte par exemple, Aldana sorti de prison après 10 ans de pain sec et d'eau ou Maitre Jansen.
